So i have a brand new fender wolfgang special got the 37 mm brass block and it doesnt fit properly, it looks like i have to route the pocket more so i can use the bar.. Is this normal

i would route anything....get a smaller brass block or skip it all together.

this is normal. most people do not understand this before they buy, the only builder that routes pockets for brass blocks is Gutierrez here on the forum. The rest will either need the block cut, the pocket cut, or you do without full motion.

I've thrown brass blocks in lots of Charvels and have never had to rout anything and had full movement.

with wolfgang's though their pockets are really tight and are nothing like charvel's based on my peavey wolfy i had. I have no doubt the OP cant move it much or at all.

Most guitars you'll just lose some range on the bar travel but the trem won't even fit back into the guitar without routing with a big block installed on a Wolfgang, at least the Peaveys. The way the trem block sits there isn't room for it.

so i figured it out guys.. i took it to work, and milled off .092 inches deep and .8 inches on the height side.. fits perfect..
