File SS neck?

I have a stainless steel fret neck that’s a little bit too wide, is there a file that would work…? Special file board?
I know the stainless steel frets are very difficult to work with,

I have diamond files that would work . Not cheap though.
I use mine mainly for my business (Tool and Die maker) so most of mine are
given to me.
