first Axe-FX Gig review

Does the QSC HPR122i only take XLR? Also, if I wanted to go to the board with my axe...can I just go out of the axe into the QSC and then out of the QSC to the board? Or do I need to set up seperate outs on the axe?

Yeah, just an XLR cord. Here's what I do - I run output one to the QSC, second set of outputs go to the board. This way I can turn my onstage volume wherever I want without affecting the board mix.

I'm going to seriously look at a used QSC....I want FOH to sound good too.

Doesn't take the QSC for FOH to sound good...I run a split signal into my mixer between the DI out and the miked speakers and send that to my in ears and FOH...

That's an amazing looking guitar. What is it?

Yeah, just an XLR cord. Here's what I do - I run output one to the QSC, second set of outputs go to the board. This way I can turn my onstage volume wherever I want without affecting the board mix.

Gotcha...makes sense. Do I need to adjust anything within the axe to run both outputs at once?

Started out life as a SRV Strat. Yanked the pick-guard the day I got it. Stuck a JB Jr. in the bridge and changed the neck to an old Boogie Body neck that I scalloped from the 12th up.

I'm on the way to buying the same set up. Ultra + QSC and wanted to see if the OP still feels the same as when he was initially geeked.
