Floyd Rose 1000 Series Floyd Are GARBAGE

Ironically, the 1000 on my 2013 Charvel I picked up seems better than the new one or the one on my PRS SE

Ahh...more intrigue. When I mentioned my 1000 were fine, they were from 08/09...I wouldn't doubt there are differences with the more recent versions. Everyone's always cutting corners to save money.

I think it simply comes down to the screws. The coating and even the dimensions seem to differ between the 2013 and 2015 screws used.

Good info on this thread. Interestingly enough I have a 2009 USA San Dimas and its has a 1000. The only improvement I felt it needed was I replaced the tremolo bar assembly with an original and its been great.
