Forum friend Jdub/Jason Wallis needs help. Tragic situation.

I heard from Jason today. He and I go back to Harmony Central stuff way back in the 90's. He has a spinal injury that has totally taken him down. Cant play guitar, can't drive, needs walker to move. He was thriving and now in a state of deep despair as he can't earn a living and cannot cover his bills, food etc. Will likely get some sort of disability but it will take a while I am not sure how to do a go fund me page and am not on any kind of social medis but I did what I could and anything would help him. You can help via venmo or maybe soeone who knows how to set up a go fund me thing could do that. Feel free to reach out to me at steve@tonedogs.com for his cell or venmo ID.
 
Jason is a great dude, he is the current owner of my favorite cabinet ever (it used to belong to @Racerxrated )

He drove all the way up here from oregon and hung out and could not possibly be a nicer dude
 
J is cool people and i’m bummed to hear he’s facing hard times. we caught up last year at a rush tribute concert and told me about his back injury preventing him from surfing but he seemed cool otherwise.

I spoke with him and he’s in pretty rough shape and it’s going to be a long recovery. Hope he forgives me for saying this but he is struggling financially. Can’t work, no money, by himself without a safety net. Pretty bleak situation actually. And I don’t have a PayPal for him so…. A go fund me would be nice but not sure how it would work or how much he would get…
 
That’s awful news both physically and mentally.

Will he be able to recover? What’s the prognosis?

I hope he’s able to recover soon or at least is able to maintain a positive mindset. Support is really key no doubt. Wishing him and his family all of the best.

Honestly I feel a lot of us are struggling financially, some moreso than others. It’s tough out there right now man. I hope he has relatives or options on the table but being down and out due to medical and at risk of losing everything, a gofundme might not be a bad idea for him. It would reach a bigger audience but he would need to make the call

😕. Yeah. What is the nature of the spinal injury? Trauma or degenerative disease? What is the contact point for contribution.
