Imagine if this thread had as much traction as the one made for a business that went through an accident a year ago and are already fully recovered and making money.....oh well.....

To be fair that one hung around 'cause of the arguments and there's none here. :dunno:

I get you point 'though. Jason's one of us.
There's substantially more to this story than most people know. Bottom line is Jason is still in a super fucked up situation / state, his recovery is nowhere near on schedule. Looking at a long term care facility, he may potentially be liquidating everything but that's not final. If he does decide to liquidate his gear I'll be helping him with it and will get things posted here, he does have a pile of cool stuff, but it may be counterproductive and actually work against him to sell it.

I always thought he was clumsy. I remember the Bogner Uberschall fall :)
Legendary video. Triggered the absolute fuck out of most of internet land. When it was delivered the UPS guy literally rolled that head up the driveway end to end because he didn't want to carry it. It was destroyed when it came out of the box, JDub knew it was going back and sent it for our entertainment

Thanks for all the support guys. I am home from the skilled nursing facility but still severely disabled and unable to do much other than the bare essentials. prepare easy to make and eat meals, get around the house on a walker, bath, use the toilet etc. That is a big improvement despite still being severely limited. I was laid out flat unable to do any of the above for much of the last 2 months. . How much further I will recover is unsure. They say I may be able to get off a walker someday and regain more coordination, but life as I knew it is sadly likely a thing of the past. My problem is is both degenerative and injury induced. Trying to stay positive but it's tough. Likely going to move into assisted living at some point in which case I will be liquidating everything. I can't hardly play... my hands have little or no coordination. Just wanted to give an update since I have been radio silent since the outset. Thanks to all for the positive thoughts, donations etc. Count your blessings and don't take anything for granted.

Tough break Jason.

As I think I may have suggested earlier, it pays to scrape up any hope you can. In this case, the improvements you've already seen provide something at least.

All you can do is try to keep your chin up and keep on keeping on. The small amount of activity you're undertaking is bound to help in some ways at least.

Hopefully it helps knowing that the forum community's behind you 100% and rooting for you brother.

Getting over spinal injuries are difficult but not impossible. Returning to a previous life will be tuff and we hope you get there. Most important, you are ok and have drive to move on from this. You will need someone close to you with zero agenda to help you liquidate (family-friend). I can’t speak for most here but my suspect is we are all willing to help in any way. Define your locale and I’d bet folks in the area will speak up. Keep that in mind.

Getting home and even a minimum level of self sufficiency is a huge deal. So many people bomb out before that point because it's hard.

I sent some help, and it's going to come with some unsolicited advice from someone you don't know: whatever you're doing now for fall prevention/ability to contact EMS if one happens, take it twice as seriously.

Op's situation resonates with me. I threw my back out badly in may of 25 and spent a month laying on the floor practicing for special events i was hopefully going to be be able to make. I could juuuust lift the guitar out the case and hopefully not drop it when i put it back.

Fortunately a friend paid for some chiropractor visits and i recovered enough to make my gigs but man it was a struggle to bathe, to wipe my backside, to do anything. It took 15 to 20 minutes to get out of the car, usually sliding out on my back. I couldnt lift my leg over the damn door sill. Every bump in the road was like a jolt of lightning...i was planning multitasking "trips" across my tiny home to let my dogs out and get water so i didnt have to get up twice. All from nerve pain. I was lucky to have scaffolding in my living room that i could use to pull myself up.I still gotta be careful of lifting weight from low positions or I reinjure things.

Jdub i hope u get thru this to a better state of being bro. You are often in my prayers.

Best of luck brother, you've got a great group of guys here that can help in many ways. Please keep us posted.

Steve, I'll probably be sharing a table at the next Portland guitar show this winter. I can offer up a little booth space for some of his gear at that show if you need it. Or if you'd rather get a whole booth to yourself, I can forward the promoter's contact info.
