Now...it was said that Sweetwater was getting the exclusive on this for the last quarter of the year? I'm assuming that by international, that includes us north of the border?

Regardless, it is probably going to be a long wait for these anyways.

Wow - I am excited to hear some good demos of this amp. From what I am reading, this sounds kind of like a high-end Runt 50 with more features - American style clean with BE and HBE dirty sounds. The one wish I have for my Runt would be to add an HBE setting. This amp really seems to tick all the boxes. No C45 or SAT switch, but perhaps those could be added. In any case, it will be exciting to see and hear these in the next few months.

Yeah they have them. I know the guy there that is making the vid for it. I have high hopes for him to FINALLY have there be a decent sounding play through on the SW site. Good LORD they can make an amazing amp sound dreadful...

This is the opposite of a stripped down BE-100.

Maybe I'm missing something then.... Happens a lot....In looking at it more closely I do see some nice features but still wish the price would be lower...

I’m sure we all wish it was cheaper but it’s a loaded BE. Separate gains/masters for botH BE & HBE, 50 watts with half power switch, thump / response knobs. Heck I woulda been happy with a smaller 50 watt BE with a 1/2 power switch. But this beast is def a cheeseburger royál. I’m more annoyed that Sweetwater has to hold on to them for almost a month before shipping. WTF??

If you look at most amps that offer a 50 and 100 watt version, the price difference is not significant. Splawn is only only about $100-150 less for the 50 watt versions provided it’s not a stripped down version. Like the Splawn and Friedman’s have the same full controls but 2 less tubes.

The 5153 loses controls for one channel and actually is stripped downs. Plus not made in the US.

Don't think this has been mentioned yet, but it looks like it also has two Master volumes. This feature seems to becoming more popular, with good reason.

It was mentioned... they're channel volumes, there is one for each channel (clean/BE/HBE) as well as independent gain controls for the BE/HBE channels.

This is the first ever BE-50 run. They have a BE-100 or SmallBox 50. The SmallBox is a pretty different amp than wither of the BE's. Still awesome, just not the same.

This is the first ever BE-50 run. They have a BE-100 or SmallBox 50. The SmallBox is a pretty different amp than wither of the BE's. Still awesome, just not the same.

Yep, my bad, its a smallbox 50 Clean channel is very plexi-ish and the BE 2nd channel
