Friedman BE 50 Deluxe

Don't get the appeal at that price point....My BE-100 sounds awesome at low volumes and I love all the features this is an expensive and stripped down version?....I'm betting it sounds amazing regardless, I'm a Friedman fan - What can I say?

This is the opposite of a stripped down BE-100.

Maybe I'm missing something then.... Happens a lot....In looking at it more closely I do see some nice features but still wish the price would be lower...

I’m sure we all wish it was cheaper but it’s a loaded BE. Separate gains/masters for botH BE & HBE, 50 watts with half power switch, thump / response knobs. Heck I woulda been happy with a smaller 50 watt BE with a 1/2 power switch. But this beast is def a cheeseburger royál. I’m more annoyed that Sweetwater has to hold on to them for almost a month before shipping. WTF??

Yeah the shipping hold thing is confusing since the Friedman Facebook page said they are shipping

That FB post has seemed to disappeared. I saw the original and now poof it’s gone.

Yeah it looks like there are at least two posts about it that seem to have gone MIA. One was the "now shipping" post and the other one I seem to recall showed what looked like a rack of chassis being tested. I wonder if Sweetwater sold all the ones they had coming and are tired of taking calls

I cant wait to check out the BE50. That negative feedback control is great. Love the idea of making the amp tighter. Always prefer an amp to feel like they sound, you know, like a tight sounding amp feeling a bit stiffer rather than saggy. I have my ss100 at Friedman now for mods, its going to be awesome. His amps really do sound amazing.

what mods are you doing to the SS100? that thing is perfect!!!

It’s nice to see more amps coming out from Friedman. i really wish he would take a chance and come out with something that isn’t Jose based. Something high gain with a cathode follower gain stage that feels good in the the hands and an original head shell (and not a Cameron or Splawn copy)...although i get the Marshall look is wanted by people.

Sounds great to me & you can tell it can be dialed in to get a wide range of tones......has all the options & more than enough gain on tap for sure!

No more gain then a normal BE amp.. the voices are a bit different or can be with the extra control you have.

Still a huge lack of demos for this guy. With the folks here that mentioned preordering was hoping to see more.
