Friedman BE 50 Deluxe

This amp basically ticks all my Friedman boxes off. I am definitely going into "cheap ass" mode and going to start saving like crazy for this. I listed my Quick Rod and matching 2x12's but market being what it is it's not likely it'll sell anytime soon...

Man if the BE or JJ were more affordable when I was amp shopping, I would have gotten one. The right deals never seem to come along when you need them. I MUST have it if it's a 50w version. If they made a JJ 50w, I'd be all over that even faster.

Not to rain on the parade but this is pretty much a Suhr PT100/OD100SE. You use to be able to order an OD50SE but it did not have half power switch. Im pretty sure I have seen a PT50 on the original series not the new version. My Classic + with the Variable NFB and Thump knob do the same thing in more of a Vintage voice..

All the OD/PT's can be had a very reasonable used prices now-a-days too..But cool to see Dave evolve the line and features for everyone!

Damn! I might be in, sounds incred spec/feature wise and sonically should fit (compliment) well with my two current amps. Did I say damn? Dayum!

That's why the Synergy modular line was created.... once you shell the cash out for their hardware or just use your own poweramp, you can buy the preamps for 400$ a pop. In a mix, are you really going to notice that much of a diff??

Except that having owned a JJ, BE, and both Suhr and CAA PT100s they don't sound the same.

Actually hearing one might help but the specs seem very nice if it truly goes from Betty clean to vicious. I have been waiting for a really vicious Friedman in a lower wattage with the hot rodded Marshall Friedman tone, if it sounds like that. To me the Runts left me feeling meh and I was hoping they would be higher gain on those channels.
