If Dave took the current smallbox 50, made the 1st channel either a simple or full clean and left everything else the same (e.g. other channel standard Brown Eye, FX loop, etc.), THAT would be a huge seller. Everybody is looking for smaller amps these days, and to have a Fendery clean matched with the Brown Eye gain channel in a grab and go 1x12 combo would be huge.

I'll be interested to see how clean it stays when you turn it up.

My guess is it will sound pushed with some hair on it. Coupled with the fact that it is only 50 watts, there probably won't be a lot of headroom at higher volumes. It will be interesting to see...

It actually has plenty of clean headroom when running the volume high, gain low. I was able to thump my 2x12 v30 cab pretty hard with the cleans. Of course, I dig the fact that I can dial the gain up for crunch, back off guitar volume for cleans, and hit it with a pedal for good raunch, all on that one channel.
