You've missed many, many more people. I couldn't even name them all... I've learned from tons of people over at metro and lots of other amp building boards... Olaf and SDM over at metro have helped me the most...

Oh, yes they are! :D

More progress on the board:

Wiring the under board connections. Used 22 AWG buss wire and covered with the black tubing:

Top of the board - soldered a few components on the far end of the board to get used to working with the eyelets:

Working in some more components. You can see I'm using 22 AWG teflon coated wire - kick ass! Won't melt when the iron hits it! Mmmmmm... Solen and BC caps, Riken and PRP resistors... :D  All the best goin' in this baby!

Some more progress:

This is the back end of the board. I soldered in a 16 pin DIL Socket that had the pins removed that the relay didn't use. As you can see, I've inserted the relay in the socket now. I also soldered in all the wires I needed from the relay to the controls. You can see the flyback suppression diode at the front :

Here's a couple more views:

Here is the front end of the board - first two gain stages. Not quite done:

Here is the whole board as it stands now:

I like many have been following this all along ..... I think what you are doing is about as cool as it gets.

Very glad to see it is all coming together.

I appreciate it. I've gotten to the point now where I'm going to put up a website with all this info and keep updaqting it there. I'm updating this thread on multiple boards and it is just a pain to do it that way...

Got a lot done today! :

One more 4 hour session and the board will be done....

Blue Resistors?

they look like carbon comp, but i've never seen a blue one?

Riken Resistors - all the tonal qualities of carbon comp without the drift and the noise. Expensive, but worth it!

cool!

you mentioned the resistors allready, but i didn't pay attention.

now you got me questioning my films.

guess there's allways the next build.

Haven't done an update in awhile, but I have been working and have a lot of new stuff done. Here is the completed board:

Also finally finished the heaters. I didn't really have to twist the heaters since it is DC past the power tubes, but it looks nice and is tidy. In the future, I'll re-orient the pre tubes so I can just take wires straight across. Couldn't do it with this preamp tube orientation. Ya live and ya learn, ya know? :D :

Here is the completed output section. You can see the line out and density control wired as well:

I've done a bit of the on/off wiring as well. Next is to finish that, put in the 6V tranny and the little board to power the relays and then install the board and finish wiring it up!
