Hmmm, how is using a Deliverance for a modding platform that much more of a travesty than a vintage Marshall?
Stock Deliverance is a great amp, like any stock Plexi. Tons of folks still seem to prefer the aftermarket changes though.

How many folks here still actually own and play their Deliverance?

I missed the part about it being a travesty, however, the Deliverance has loads of gain and in my opinion has a very unique voicing. If someone needs to mod it to do metal then they're probably trying to change the voicing in which case, there are plenty of amps out there that would probably meet their need without mods.

I still have my D60 and D412. Love that rig, of course it really has nothing to do with whatever it is you're trying to prove.

All I know is that with the Axe FX II sim of the Deliverance, I thougt activating the virtual "saturation switch" with than sim sounded pretty cool. Adding some of the common Marshall-mod tweaks to a Deliverance could be pretty damn cool in my book.

i have both the Ultra Lead and the Deliverance 60....i prefer the fatness and natural tonality of the deliverance, i mean both amps sound extremely good, but there is something so organic in the deliverance...EXTREMELY touch sensitive, every bend and harmonic sounds alive...set it to less mode and boost it and it gets you into metal heaven easily.... one of the best amps ever in my opinion. JJ 6550 power tubes sound veeeeery good in that amp

excuse the shitty playing and camera, but you get the idea....

Deliverance is just a great amp .... Fryette now offers to put a loop on it as a modification or stock with one.
