The new Positive Grid Reactor is the most fun I've had with an amp and fx

Anyone here ever tried one of these. I got one a couple of weeks ago and have been having a lot of fun playing it. It sounds great and is so easy to get great tone. The presets don't sound all that good but it is easy to dial in nice tone.

I like that it doesn't have many options to have to dig through but has just enough to find what you want and need. I love the AI feature on it too... you tell it what you want and it will get it very close if not perfect.

I just got the little 50 and it is small, light and sounds huge. When I think I just can't get the tone I'm after perfect, I remember that I forgot about the AI Push and Heat features and this puts it right were it needs to be.

The app on my phone is so convient to use to change all these settings from across the room.. it's nice not to have to get up or manipulate a lot of menus. Dialing in the amps doesn't work quiet like a real amp but it is not hard to figure out. I think seeing how AI did it helped me get it figured out quickly. I find their Diezel model (DV4 Extreme) to do the best 80s modded Marshall tones but their Harmonic Halo is right there too. The cleans are some the best I've ever played.

To me, it is very tube like and I keep going back and forth with my tube amps and am still impressed.

My son, away at college, likes his Postive Grid Spark GO; he runs the headphones out into my old Line 6 AMPLIFi 150, which he also uses as a Bluetooth speaker with his iPhone. I got him a 5 Ghz wireless system from Amazon for around $50.

The tone search works great for those who don't want to tweak, though more obscure guitarists / songs toenes are hit or miss.

he doesn't have a lot of time to play guitar, so having tones he likes, that's easy to use, and get to playing helps maximize his playing time.

none of his friends at home or college are into making music it seems.

Very cool... if I would have had access to these great tools when I was a kid I probably would have gotten better much quicker. I know @LPMojoGL has posted a couple of times about the PS Mini and loves it and he knows good tone too. I tried the Spark but didn't like it... maybe I should try the Spark 2 because it has some great practice tools. But now that I have the reactor, I keep going back to it and, it has that amp in the room tone with the 12" speaker.

The Power Amp In feature makes a better sounding power amp and cab/speaker than the Katana IMO.
