If you bought one to use for music and it does everything you want, other than the resale value it shouldn't seem like too bad a thing as long as you get out of the axe fx what you bought it for. I know it sucks about the resale value likely going down some, but I doubt it'll be that low.

In all honesty, this is how tech, and actually most industries go. If the Ultra absolutely does exactly what you want, news of a second one shouldn't really annoy you all that much.
For all anyone knows the new version might have issues of its own once it's released.

Well, it is a business and he doesn't owe anyone anything. He could've said the new version was coming out in two weeks and have his Standards and Ultras take a dive in sales while waiting, or just announce it the day of (which wouldn't change anything), or give a countdown for something cool (and some stroking action).steve_k":17psu6kb said:

I've had my Standard for a couple of years; paid $1200 for it, and love it. Don't care if the value goes to zero, still just as useful to me. 
To be honest, I don't use 1/10th it's capabilities, that's why I never bothered with an Ultra.
Having said all that, can't wait to see everything the new one does
