I've actually taken a liking to KT66. Like a EL34/6L6 hybrid with a hint more emphasis on the lower mids.

I'm mostly 6V6, i do have 1 Fender amp with 6L6.

The majority of my amps are EL34 and in the Marshall camp. I like the upper-mid grind they produce. Truth be told my only KT66 amp is Jeremy's Hellion. It started with EL34's, but after the V2 update he convinced me to try out KT66's. It's a subtle difference, but I hear it as keeping a similar upper mid grind of the EL34's, but adding just the right amount of lower-mid girth an just a bit more highs & lows to really fill out the sound.

SonicTone/Nick; who is local to me, makes a Class A 12 watt amp that can take several different tubes. In his demo video EL34's sound best to me. I've talked to Nick and he said it can do KT66's too. In the next couple months I hope to have enough saved up to get one and I'll have him set it up for a KT66. I think it'll bring out the best in that amp.
