Lol, yup. I remember you could get maps of the urban areas at local gas stations and then be pulling off the side of the road to figure out the directions to a venue. I enjoyed it tbh, it was all part of the adventure that made it more fun. I still enjoy late night moonlit country drives to some of the venues out in the TX hill country save for the times we hit deer on the ride back!
