Man, Gary really gave his all when playing live. Great musician. Rhoads too.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Both were great guitarists.

Very cool, and wow amazing to remember how badass of a player Gary was. Two huge losses.

Gary sounds like a helluva nice guy too. I'm not big into his blues stuff, not my bag but I love his Corridors of Power, Victims era and really dig hs Colosseum II fusion stuff

Have you seen this Shawn? One of Gary´s finest moments.

Gary was my first major inspiration to play, back when Victims Of The Future came out, and continued to influence me to this day. I was truly heartbroken the day he died, and miss him dearly. I believe he belongs in the Rock Hall for his mastery of all things guitar. For those who don't know his full catalog, he could shred, play Spanish guitar, jazz fusion, classical, you name it, and was superb at all styles. Blues just became his passion, but he was a true master of guitar, period, and an incredible, humble human being. In my eyes, the greatest, ever.

One of my original guitar heroes. Gary Moore, a legend and a cool dude.

It took me getting into Thin Lizzy for me to discover Gary Moore. I have even covered "Still Got the Blues" in a band 10 years ago, but had never heard the song when we covered it or Gary. Band had musicians 10+ years my senior, so they exposed me to some new stuff.

Anyway, I also discovered Gary played on this Beach Boys album in 1985: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beach_Boys_(album)
Always enjoyed the guitar playing on that album and now I know why.

I wonder how many musicians under 40 have never heard of Gary. What a monster player.

unviewable here in the states. I like is work in TL but still prefer the other stuff

I first heard of Gary in a Randy Rhoads interview way back, right after he became big with Ozzy. Randy said he was a fan so I had to look him up. That wasn't as easy in the early 80's as it is today but shortly after he came out with Corridors. I still have an old Thin Lizzy DVD from that clamshell in Sydney Australia IIRC. Sounds terrible but a fun watch, he was a wild man back then.

Fucking out standing!!!
That fires me up every time I watch it.

Very cool. Gary had a huge impact on my playing. I regret that I was never able to see him live.

I always dug this Marshall promo video he did. Love that thick LP tone. I'm guessing it's a DSL, even with the vintage stuff in the background. Gee, I wonder why I've had 5 of those heads?

So great. VOTF had a huge impact on me.

That Daily Motion site sure is coded poorly. RESOURCE HOG.

Actually Marshall was devolping a 1959 Plexi style sig amp with Gary, thats what he's playing thru. After his death the family decided not to release the amp deal with Marshall.
