Lots of Elmwoods popping up here.

Very, VERY interesting...... :scratching chin:

vh4- i had a 2002 vh4 and i really hated it, couldnt get rid of it quick enough. its kinda funny too because i got a 2013 vh4 and i like it.

fortin vm- didnt do much for me, very bright and cutting, i didnt like it very much.

rectifiers- i owned 7 of them over the years but there was a couple that sounded horrible. dull and lifeless, ive had some great sounding rectos that i loved but ive also had a couple turds.

jvm- i just hated it.

diezel einstein- a great amp for most people but its another diezel i dont miss owning, i guess im spoiled from the herbert.

engl invader- i owned a 150 and it broke down about a hour later, i still played it and didnt like it, i also played a couple more over the years but its my least favorite engl i ever owned or played. i also had the invader 100 and liked it a little more but i would still rather have the savage, blackmore, morse or SE.

i hate to even post these amps because i know theres alot of you guys that really like them, even though i didnt like them theres still plenty of people who do.
im just happy that we have so many great amps to choose from today.

I'm really surprised to see so many VH4's.....what gives?

You either love it, or hate it. It's really that simple.

MKV

I sold it to a buddy and still have to hear it on occasion...

I don't think I've ever owned a piece of music gear that I hated.
I have always bought stuff that fit where I was and what I wanted at the moment and as my tastes changed so did my equipment. I guess that is one of the benefits of playing before paying. ;)

Xotic EP Booster v2.0 and a Fender FM212. None of the "real" purchases.

Seriously? DAMN....been lucky enough that the stuff I hated never cost more than $500. Forgot the POD HD500. What a piece of shit. Gone and never once missed it.

Mesa stiletto head, got one new when they first were released at a great price and just couldn't bond with it in spite of endless tweaking, so sold it soon after.
Also had a splawn pro mod modded Marshall plexi white anniversary 100 watter and it didn't sound at all like a Marshall yet alone a plexi, maybe it was the kt88's I didn't like. So much gain on tap but was noisy and really compressed. It was a shock cause I love modded Marshall's but this mod seemed to make it un Marshall like. Super expensive mod work but I sold it as it just sat around.

5150 cabinets. Not because i hated them but because I couldn't move the damn things to try anything else.

Peavey vypyr 60W. Took a huge hit on it and lesson learned with modeling amps.

Steve Vai 2007 Jem - biggest POS i have ever played and it was a costly mistake.

Definitely interesting that the VH4 is in there.

For me it was the G-Major 2. Something didn't sit right with running a digital multiFX slap-bang in the middle of my VH4. I kinda went off MultiFX units completely after that. For me, stomp boxes are where it's at.
