If anyone has played both, was wondering if you could give a general comparison between them. Really curious about EQ differences, low end, and gain primarily.

I've loved the three modules i've played and currently own the SLO II and Killer Kali. I like both but the SLO II seems to have more lows and less gain. I think I would like the Friedman because i've always loved that tone but seeing what people dig.

The BE was my Synergy module. Free from Sweetwater when I bought a SYN-1. I had an SLO and the BE at the same time for a bit. Never tried the BE DLX.

The SLO had more gain than the BE and could get nastier as well if you wanted it to. The BE was smoother. Maybe the extra options on the DLX will help with what I didn't like about the BE.

I have the OG SLO and the BE DLX. They both have nice bass that really kicks without being flubby. They are almost identical there. The BE is more of a hot rodded plexi and has that tone where the SLO is a.. SLO. I've never really got along with any SLO I've played. I like them.. the way I dial them in sounds like a hot rodded JCM but they don't do anything for me. That's why I have trouble describing the tone. The BE-DLX sounds great though.. I really like it. It does that hot rod Plexi, in your face thing really well and gets extremely gainy similar to a Rectifier if you push it in HBE mode. That's not really my thing so I like to keep the gain down on the HBE channel. I've got the DRECT for that.

The BE-Dlx is like a toned down version of the KK to me. It is smoother and maxes out a little less than where the KK can go.

The SLO II is a lot thicker and less Marshall~y than the other 2.

Thanks guys! You guys described them really well to the extent that I knew exactly what you were talking about. I think i could have all three and would never feel like I had an identical tone.

I think thr BE DLX would probably sit exactly in my tone wheelhouse.
