I recall reading in one of the guitar magazines that he was using Warren DeMartini's Marshall amp and wanted to buy it from him. I think it was a Jose modded one.
he stole it actually , he went to a party at Warrens and the amp was on the kitchen table , Warren claims that he came upstairs George had left and the amp was gone , that's the classic story

I get all that but still interested in how he got his lead sound.

The 2nd album is the one I'm asking about.
the second album he went all back to old Marshals boosted like a 68 or 69 Plexi . no SLO IIRC

Clearly, I’m a fan.

I have heard this story many times but could never confirm if its true. Wouldnt surprise me if it is. The things ya do for tone:ROFLMAO:

The self-titled Lynch Mob album has probably my favorite Lynch tone. It is definitely less gain but sounds so smooth. Love that tone. I believe I read in an interview that it was a plexi with a TS808.

I'm surprised that George Lynch is only 1m71 high. I would have imagined him to be at least 1m80.

He loves to discuss his custom guitars which he offers to the masses .

I was looking at some of his creations and asked a question on his website . George emailed me right back in under a minute :worship_gray:
It was a Lynchbot.

His daughter has a baby with Richie Faulkner : imagine this kids opportunity to learn guitar ! Dads Richie and grandpa is George Lynch
Guaranteed that kid never plays a note of guitar and ends up selling old coins beside a Pilot Truck Stop in Tulsa, Oklahoma and dividing the rest of the time between video games and discussing the history of punctuation.
