This is the understanding I have as well. None the less, Russia was the primary aggressor lighting the larger scale war off. Justified or not, Big Hassle seems to think that's cool. I've been with Russia on this since NATO expanded into former eastern block countries, even before the Maidan coup, which would only be seen as a threat to Russia. The US miscalculated Russian resolve, knowing the history of invasions of Russia from the west came through what is now Ukraine, including Napoleon, and Hitler.

I only wish Russia starated with an intent to win and occupy eastern and southern Ukraine like the US did in Iraq 1; instead of the slow, Special Military Operation.

This is Bozo Biden and his administration's failure to negotiate with Russia on a neutral Ukraine. The blood is on their hands, not Putin's.
