Has anyone gigged out two 1x12's?

IE: two Bogner cubes or two Orange 1x12's

Not even necessarily in a wet / dry set up.

Just using two 1x12's as one would use two 4x12's

I was wondering what that sounded like and how you would go about making sure there was no phase cancellation between the speaker cabinets.

Thanks in advance!

Mark

I know a pair of 1x12 Bogner cube's or Mesa's thiele ported cabs sounds really full. If you do not need a bunch of air punching you in the face from a 4x12 a pair of good 1x12's can sound huge. Especially when you start using verbs, delays, chorus, etc. . . . They really fill the room.

Most of the gigs I do I use 2 1x12 cabs in stereo, I have a pair of CAE cabs loaded with EVM12L's and another pair with Vintage 30's, either a stereo chorus or stereo delay going on, I've never had a problem with phase cancellation, just make sure the FOH pans each cab hard left and hard right

I use a pair of cae 1x12's. They get fairly loud and sound terrific. The band I play with is unbelievably loud but it's all production, so I have to be miked anyway. It's an r&b band, I play clean most of the time with the the occasional blues solo and the occasional high gain thing. I don't know how they'd do in a rock band.
