@RJF Haha, you no likey?!! It's all good. To each his own. I thought it looked awesome. It looks a little brighter in the picture, in person it was a little more blue. I'm a big blue fan so I loved it. Plus it doesn't look all dull and ugly like the other 6505's. I don't even care anymore cause' as of tomorrow my Herbert will be on its way!! I'll try to get some more information on what year he actually got the cab. Thanks!!

Haa, this was on eBay, was it not? I was considering this one, but I believe it was a MKI. I am looking for an MKII. On the subject of "good price", I was wondering the same thing. I'm seeing a lot of MKIs for around ~$2,600. But I can barely find even a new MKII for sale online. Do you guys think I'll be able to find one for around $3,200 or less? The only one I've found is an offer for brand new @ $3,600. Thinking if I can find a used one I will do much, much cheaper.

Alright so amp has shipped. He told me he thinks it's got a full set of winged C 6L6's in it and that Mark Diezel recommended them.....I guess they were changed about 7 or 8 months ago and only have about 5 to 6 hours on them, so that's cool. Not sure if I'm going to like the 6L6's in this head, however, I did love them in my Peavey, so I'm not sure. Too bad I have to wait till' November to play it. :-(

lol is that a taboo here? I've been lurking here for a while, and a few other forums where people are A/Bing the MK1 & MK2 and it seems the consensus is that the MK2 has a more "3D sound" (I love how abstract people get when describing sounds), better clean channel with more headroom, doesn't break up even with high output PUs, is less compressed, and I've yet to read a single post where someone was like, "Yeah, the MK2 is the same thing, I am disappointed. Selling this to get an MK1."

I know this has been covered in countless other posts, so correct me if I'm wrong (PLEASE, I can get an MK1 cheap)- but like I said, I've already read a lot of threads about this already and there is nowhere local for me to A/B an MK1 vs. a 2. The only local dealer I know of that carries Diezels would only have the 2 anyway. Getting both in the same room would be hard for me.

I have alot of doubts about this guy man..... you can just look in the back of the amp and see what kind of tubes they are.... they say it right on the tube itself... and whos mark diezel??

He's also got a Diezel 4X12 cab he's selling too. I'm thinking about waiting a month or two and picking that up from him as well. Probably about 700 shipped. I think those cabs go for about 1600 brand new if I'm not mistaken.

You would need to find out if it's the older style, or newer style cab. THe new style will have silver piping around the grille like in the picture below, no piping would obviously be old style. I would assume old cab anyway, because the newer german ones go for a lot more than that used.

Just now saw your guitars. You know, it's rare that I like Jackson guitars, but that dark brown one on the far right is NICE.

Also from what I've heard Mr. Diezel hasn't changed the voicing at all whatsoever. I think you'll be good on a MK1 if you can get it for way cheaper. I'm still waiting for mine in the mail, I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY IT!! I've never even played one before, so call me crazy but these guys are pretty convincing on just how badass these amps are!! Good luck!!

Yeah the whole Mark Diezel thing...I was a little confused about that as well. That's why I mentioned it. I just don't think this guy knows crap about Diezel amps, or amps period. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though. The amp should be arriving to my house today. Hopefully he didn't send me 65lbs of bricks, haha. I'm going to try and talk my girlfriend through testing it on facetime to make sure everything works as advertised. That should be a good time. She plays guitar but acoustic primarily. She knows nothing about amps. I'll keep you guys posted. Oh and I found a Diezel FL4X12 on here in the classifieds from some dude in Indiana for 750 bucks. It looks to be in pretty good shape. Yeah, I just bought my FL412. It was $775. The rub is that it's in Alabama. So I have to pay $215 to get it shipped. $215 out the window for nothing, really. OH WELL.... at least I'm getting my cab!

@Osceana Dude looks like we're getting our rigs at the same time. You'll get to play yours way before I do so keep me posted on how evil it is. The heaviest amp I've played is a peavey 6505+ so that's all I have to compare it to. I expect a full review sir!!!!
