They supply the chips and he would see his profits diminished if there's more AI regulation. And you know who else doesn't want to put on the brakes? That one person who knows that the US economy boom at the moment is largely due to AI... If only there wasn't some pesky conflict going on that's jacking up the prices at the pump...

I'm the last person to defend AI. I dislike it a lot. Do I believe these guys warnings? Absolutely. We should all be terrified of AI created by Sam altman, Elon musk and Alex Karp. They're all psychopaths.

What I said earlier in the thread has just been confirmed in the video I posted. This is a ploy so they have complete control over AI. No competition, and no creating your own AI if that's what one wants to do. I mean one of the big selling points of Apple's Mac studio is having the ability of creating your own AI. People are spending big bucks on those things for it. They're not cheap.

I remember seeing a doomsday video here and there a while back. My feed has been flooded with the doomsday crap recently. That's when I really started to see it as inorganic. The desperation is so bad Sabine Hossenfelder, a physicist, was offered a bribe to push the doomsday crap. lol.

I appreciate it man. And same here. I hold no ill will towards anyone nor is there any malice behind the things I say. I grew up on the internet. Trolling and trash talk was the staple of the early internet. You did need a thick skin back then, but most knew everyone was just fucking around for fun.

I do feel like the modern day internet is more toxic, in the sense that trolling isn't really trolling anymore, because there really is a lot of hatred and malice and contempt in many people's comments. The Internet of today doesn't feel like the Internet I grew up on.
