I have an EI long plate in V1 and V5, Chinese for the rest. I bought a new set of JJ KT88's. I like those better than the Electro Harmonics KT's that the amp came with.

Basically I'm keeping this amp around until I land a Two Notes Torpedo Live, and record some awesome mid-gain rock tones.
Indeed, a very open, uncompressed, dynamic sound. And where most high-gain heads would struggle at the in-between tones, with sort of limp results, the Sig:X excels at those!

I have been into a high-gain heavy scooped sound lately. Last month I was into mid-gain midrange heavy crunch sounds. Tomorrow it might be funk. Great having a amp that allows you control the sound as much this one.
