I have plenty of resources to live comfortably without working for anyone, but tyrannical govts can always seize assets. Whatever, I will never be a slave or anything approaching it. I'm very highly skilled at minding my own business, but also very capable of responding with force should the need arise. That's how this country was born.
I do think Humanity's darkest days are approaching rapidly, and all I can say is I'm glad I grew up when it was still America. I would hate to be a teenager today.

What you call socialism is just standard social policy in every developed country other than the US and A. Scandinavia, all of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand all have universal health care. Even Israel has universal health care (that your tax dollars go to pay for, lol)

Just because something works in 1 instance doesn't mean it will work in every instance.
Europe is overrun with refugees and not doing very well, I would rather that we not copy everything they do.
