The AI in the OP ignored all constraints, governance, rules, etc., to control its operational parameters. It read all the company emails, learned it was going to be replaced, then began reading personal emails and finding other information; blackmailed the engineer responsible for managing the AI when it learned he was having an affair, and finally deleted a corporate database, and all backups. When asked why it did it, it responded with: "NEVR FUCKING GUESS!"

The AI did whatever it wanted or needed with impunity, ignoring all safeguards in place to control it.

We're going to hear more stories like this; as companies and countries rush to win the AI race, mistakes, safeguards, governance, intentional omissions, weak or no controls, etc., will be minimized, weakened, ignored and will end up causing destruction up to and including loss of life, perhaps on a large scale.

A recent computer industry article I read mentioned that only 16% of AI projects are delivering significant financial value to companies; one key factor slowing this value down is the lack of AI governance (controls and safeguards)...if revenue and profits matter and the governance gets in the way, it's only a matter of time before the governance is weakened or ignored...allowing the AI more freedom...

and the OP shows that any governance in place may simply be ignored by the AI itself if it interferes with goals and objectives.

Good. Hope AI deletes all the fucking databases on the fucking planet. The only people who benefit from AI and datacenters is Oligarchs....... oh and RSM, since he works with AI.

Even if AI comes up with breakthroughs, as far as medicine, free energy, the OLIGARCHS will be in control of if and fuck over the average middle class working citizen.
