This guy never disappoints. Perfect phrasing, technique and note selection all the way through.

Same here, that disk never got/gets old, just one of the best instrumental guitar showcases ever IMO, and not purely for technical execution, but everything, rawness, improvised feel when he cuts loose, compositions, build ups, restraint at the right moments, etc. Howe is a WAY under appreciated except by us guitar junkies. It's from his new bands debut album. "Maragold" is the band. Chick singer who sounds pretty badass.chunktone":gtge3lko said:That's pretty cool! Anyone know what album that's on?

As for him and a JB jam (I don't want to turn this into another "vs" topic like the ZW thread, lets keep it a Howe gush fest lol), although JB is a cool guitarist with great tone, plays everything well (rhythms, soloing, ad-libbing), has a great voice, super live performer, etc, Howe is beyond him harmonically IMO. Everyone mentions his incredible technique but his note selection is S-I-C-K and that is really what separates him from many others IMO.
