Guitar case storage

So my home office has been a catch all for the last 3 years since I purchased a home and quickly moved into it. I've recently started hanging guitars, building sound baffles, hanging signage, etc.. and I've hit a small snag... guitar cases..

How does everyone store theirs? I've always stacked them on top of each other or stood them in a corner.

Stand them up in the back of a closet with the guitar in them or lay them flat on top of my many 4x12s.

Yeah, I have the same problem. Looking for interesting solutions. I have no closet to use so need other ideas.

I have a storage room in the basement of the building, so I built a shelf about 5 feet off the ground and stand the empty cases (mostly in their shipping boxes) on that, so there's space for other lifestyle crap underneath..

10 yard penalty! That's some serious gear inequality right there! You are not being considerate to the poor ghetto children that only have gig bags with storage issues.

The garage.... I have them all piled on a top shelf out there.
