I t bothers me when I see a ad that Says Gibson Epihone Les Paul and ESP LTD
It's worse when people write ESP and it's only when you click on it it's a LTD..

Chewy or any other sensory taste adjective has no business describing an amplifier.

Holy crap that drives me nuts.......lol

How about an Internet ad with 80 high def pics of a guitar, none of the headstock.

"Practically mint"
"Plays like buttah"
"Cleans up well with the volume knob"
Any description of metal with the term "post" in it

Holy Grail

and my least favorite craigslist ad title - "Vintage" - Yes, your 25 year old + Cort, JB Player,Hondo etc. is vintage, but it's most likely still a piece of shit. Those brands were random thoughts, it's more aimed at the vintage particle board models.

There is a certain guitar seller's site. His sound descriptions always crack me up. I doubt he could even tell you what they mean. Here are a couple:

Big and aggressive sounding guitar with plenty of punchy bottom end, mids are dense and clear but not real honky, easy pinched harmonics, good bite and sizzle in the top end, good classic or heavy rock guitar.

The bottom end is tight and focused, mids are clear, fat and honky with some nice overtones and pinched harmonics are effortless almost anywhere on the neck, top end has good presense and sizzle but without being at all harsh,

Price point. "Point" is totally unnecessary so just fucking stop it.

"Sounds great,for the price".

Something either sounds good,or doesnt sound good.

Price isnt ib the equation IMO.

PUP

Because those three other letters take so long to type/say.....

Yep, most of that shit drives me nuts as well, WTF does organic mean anyway ?? Did they buy it at Whole Foods ?

A few years ago on TGP somebody was describing his pedal as having a big punchy low end. I responded, "pedals don't have punchy low ends - AMPS do."

John Suhr quoted my post and said: "Exactly."

That was my high point on TGP. :D

"Does it djent?"

"Does it doom?"

"Does it bring the br00tz"
