Had water come into my guitar room last weekend

Here in SW Michigan, we had over 4 inches of rain in 2 days last week.

My gutters were clogged and ended up flooding 2 of my window wells, which caused water to come in through the basement windows!!!

NO GEAR WAS LOST!

But, we very quickly had to pull posters/pictures off the walls. Lots of wet carpet. Parts bins filled up with water!! It was a mess!!

I’ve been sopping up water all week, I borrowed a couple high powered fans from my work and have been running a dehumidifier.

I’m probably gonna start putting thinks back together again today.

I have since had my gutters cleaned (I can’t get on the roof anymore because of vertigo) so I should be in good shape for the time being.

A wet vac has done me wonders during water leaks and cleanups. Best $40 spent.

Bummer.

My gear room is on the opposite side of a bathroom & I had a leaking pipe wreak havoc a few years back.

Thankfully that drywall needed redone & I hated the carpet anyway. No gear was majorly damaged, a few old hardshell cases got soggy & were discarded.

Man that sucks but glad you have a lot of stuff up off the ground!

We are definitely close in age because my room has similar type bands, etc. I had that exact Ratt poster and my Mom ripped it off the wall because she thought I was rebelling. Now she listens to that stuff, lol.
