kinda interesting in that boogie board post that was referenced. to quote voodooman:

"Some of you will say, "oh yeah, we'll see" and some will say, "this is just more psycho babble double speak to lure in more unsuspecting victims". Whatever your opinion may be, time will tell the future history of VoodooMan
Switches."

Same as most of the rest of ya'll. I ordered from the website, A guy even called me the next day because I had entered some wrong info about my card on the order. I gave him the correct info, they charged my card. The website said that at the time, 3 of the switches were in stock. All it tells me over a month later is that my order is processing. No responses from multiple phone calls and e-mails. I have 6 kids and I know about family emergencies. But most musicians are a pretty close knit group. I also have plenty of friends who would volunteer to at least answer e-mails for me if I had something like that going on. I would gladly do it to help someone out myself. One phone call would put some kind of message on the site or something. It's just good products, bad business practices, which sucks for those of us who need our switches.

And the voodooman strikes again....

Around the time he was having family issues his excuse to me was - "I was hit by a drunk driver and have been in the hospital. I was on my way to the post office to ship your order along with others when i was hit. All the packages were damaged and I will have to build new ones when I am able again."

When I traded my XXX for my 5152 the owner of the 5152 had ordered a switch from Voodooman and said he would ship it to me when he recieved it.

It showed up on time and works fine.

Ordered a Mesa Recto II switch at the start of May, payment was processed and status set to confirmed. About 2 weeks later nudda despite the website saying 2 were in stock. Started emailing asking for an update got no response. Got in touch with my credit card company yesterday (May 27th) and requested the payment be reversed. Sent an email to Voodooman telling him that I had contacted my credit card co. Today the status changed to 'shipped'.
Obviously this guy makes good quality gear and does deliver but it just takes too long, he'd be a lot more successful if he just said right this will 4-6 weeks.

I'm sorry to hear that you guys have had such a bad experience with him. I ordered a switch from him for my Blackmore, even talked to him on the phone for a bit. Seemed like a nice guy, and I even received the switch in 3 days. I had recommended him once to somebody soon after, and they had no problems, but that was a while ago. (Before the first post was made, I believe.) I'll hold off on that recommendation from here on out.

I've got one, it's really well made and works great, but it came with my DC-5, I didn't buy it from him.

Bad experience.

Had a 6505+. Footswitch was broken. Ordered a replacement. Received it about 3 months later. By then I had sold the 6505+ and got a Mesa Triple Rectifier. Had no use for the pedal. He would not refund me either.

Assuming it worked, why would he owe you a refund? You ordered the switch. You sold the amp. It's your problem.

I ordered a pedal from them last month and sill haven't gotten it. I called and spoke to him and he said they were about 2 weeks behind and said it was shipping out the next day. The next day my status changed to shipped but that was over a week ago and still nothing. Starting to loose my patience with this company. :gethim:

What a joke. What a complete and utter joke.

April 23rd ordered and Credit Card debited immediately (nice one dude).
3 emails no response at all
1 direct phone call & James promised me it would ship out on Monday 31st May
James also promised me the tracking number would be forwarded when it shipped.
Thursday 3rd June, nothing.
I would never buy from this guy again
I would never recommend this guy
I would take every opportunity to post poor feedback and write unfavorable reviews on every forum and blog I come across.

I cant stand this shit.

If I realized I had so much time waiting around for an item that may now never turn up, I could have purchased the parts from an old peasant in Serbia, fabricated it with toothpicks out of Yaks hair AND shipped it via carrier pigeon to Antarctica in half the time.

Voodooman, you suck.

Guitarslinger,

your speed reading failed to notice the replacement switch in a previous post took 3 months to arrive.

A lot happens in three months.

Three months sheesh!

i ordered one from him awhile back. 3 weeks later nothin, so i call him and after about 3 days of calling every hour i get ahold of someone. he said he shipped it the day before, 2 weeks later nothing. so i call again for 3 days every hour until i reach him. Makes some excuse about having a medical situation in the family. tell him he said that the pedal was alreay sent. avoids the question. so this point i contact paypal to get my money back. after another week i see the status says shipped and a couple days later i get the pedal. 2 freakin months after i order it i finally get it. the pedal seems to be high quality and works just as advertised but seriously 2 months

As stated Asswipe. There is a pickup maker in the same camp, but I'll refrain.

I ordered a MKIII switch from him about 2 years ago, took forever to get the damn thing, he would not respond to phone calls or e-mails. I have to start a paypal dispute and it showed up. This was 2 years ago+ I guess he is still screwing people.........

Yeah I had a 'Switch Doctor' for a Mesa and it was quality.
