RIG TALK primer thread for TGP refugees

1) You're a TGP maggot refugee and are presumed to have pink hair and facial piercings until the staff and membership have approved and verified you as a quality member.

2) You don't get to sell your soy boy tan pants guitars and amps in our marketplace until you've made fifty QUALITY posts and have been two factor verified.

3) Footwear is important to our members. Do not call into question what another member chooses to cover his cheddar wheels with.

4) Forgiveness is part of the RIG TALK forum life. Don't go reporting a post just because someone thinks your guitars, pedals, amps, shoes, gig-rug, or politics suck (they do).

5. If your handle at TGP was/is Tag, A-Bone, or Analog Mike you are in for a rough ride here. Turn back now.

6. Phrases you used to use at TGP to describe tone will likely earn you a temp ban here e.g "to die for" "paf-ish" "crystal lattice" etc etc.

Official forum rules: 1. No spam 2. No attacking family members 3. No calling people pedophiles 4. No disrespecting moderators

Welcome to the best guitar forum ever created. Make sure the chin strap on your combat helmet has been securely fastened.

Whilst some of us more affluent members appreciate your attempt at collecting fine instruments, don't bring your shenanigans and tomfoolery here with talk of how supreme your PRS Private Stock guitars are. Most members here can barely afford used PRS SEs they found in a dumpster behind Chipotle, so don't come here with that superciliousness. We shall not abide it here.

Also, as an addendum, if you brag about your collection, talk about tone as if you are an expert, and post "family pictures" of your expensive gear on your natuzzi couches in your McMansion, you will be mocked until you post clips; if your clips are trash, mockery will continue until chops improve.

Yeah, and if you can't tell the difference between a Murphy Lab jazz box with a flowing genoa or spinnaker in the background, then just stay over at TGP. We all sail fine vessels here. If you don't even have a Wauquiez, then stay over there with your dinghies and floaties.

This is a critical point for any member to understand.

Preemptive strike !
It should help ward away guys who are just going to make problems here. Last thing we need is the final decent guitar forum that isn't some internet backwater being ruined by refugee GMO soy boys from the gear page. Not even sure how guys can stand that site. Every time I've ever viewed a page there it never stops loading.

Sorry man, a lotta old tanners there. Fender amps, guitars. Old heads dying sooner than later. Gotta welcome them into this market..terrible thing to say but at least the gear would be used. Unlike if they left them to their son or daughter who had no musicial talent, and sold it off to some complete disaster.

That's all fine and well. They are welcome to join us but I'm not gonna have some beyond meat munching lefty wrecking my freedom to trash modeling gear and digital equipment.:LOL:

No worries, I’m not old and I’m sticking around.
