That's a contractor.
You're right. I forgot you're in that wheelchair.

Do you have one of those Steven Hawking setups? I bet that's cool.

Hope you’re paying him well. Nice to have good friends that’ll help you when you need it.

I was a carpenter and contractor for 22 years before I took the job I have now 11 years ago. When my house flooded in 2017 I gutted it, down to the studs, ripped out the subfloor and floor joists and rebuilt it from the ground up. Entirely new plumbing and electric. Moved walls, added big ass doors on load bearing exterior walls. My buddy is a journeyman electrician and he helped me with the electrical, everything else me and my wife did.

Maybe I need more friends, but frankly I’m not really a people person.

I admire your ability to do that kind of work. (no snark, serious post)

It’s a good thing because flood insurance is a scam. The house had a river in the living room for 3 days and the insurance company gave me 27k. I took out a loan for another 40k and started filling up roll offs. On the bright side now we have the house we wanted instead of the house we bought. I just bought the house next door 6 months ago. It was flooded too and sitting vacant. We’re remodeling it right now. 200 and something feet of 6’ privacy fence later and I have a compound. I put ban boards all the way across the back of my house before I sided it a couple months ago and I’m getting ready to put a huge deck up. If I had to pay someone to do all that shit I’d have to go back to robbing drug dealers to pay for it.

Everyone wants a bigger deck.
