I'll say this- for as nice as that sounded (and as great a player as Darren is) that's nothing compared to what it was in the room, or the experience of playing the amp.
The amp has the perfect "aunch"

on the first channel, the second channel just crushes for 80's (and straight radio rock), and the full saturation mode was totally usable.
The thing that impressed me most, was just how usable the whole thing was; no drastic leaps in tone, just a very logical progression.
I'm picky, and I REALLY dug Steve's amp; if I'm being totally honest, I dug it far more than I expected.
If I were playing more, I'd already have one, and I continue to debate buying one anyway.
