Yeah...it's not crazy scooped, the mids are just rolled back a bit. A5 magnets sound great with mid-heavy Marshalls IMO...

I thought the virtual PAFs were pretty terrible. I pulled them out after a week. Every PAF type in this thread sounds better than those things. Thin and sterile sounding.

I have an old (70's) Dimarzio PAF in a mutt that I built...one of the best PAFs that I've ever come across. They show up on ebay frequently and usually don't cost too much either. I think there's one on there now IIRC.
The Pearly Gates is another one I like but it's not as "sweet" as some others...although its still low output, it has a little more attitude.
