sounds good! and definitely has the essence of the tone, but I think it would be closer if you just sent it down the middle (like on the video) instead of panning left and right, however you separated it - btw, did you double track and pan?

Ronni uses an old Ibanez wah into a Boss Ce-2 into a Boss BF-2 into a Boss OD-1 into the Roland Space Echo RE-150 in that order. One of those pedals is the secret sauce and it's the one you would least expect and the one you hear no sign of in Le Tekro's tone. I always wondered why he even had that pedal. Not anymore. That should narrow it down.

It's really a shame too because I just had this custom made moose costume made and only got to use it once. I was able to sneak right up to Ronni's window and look in. Who could have ever known that there were male moose in the area and that it was mating season?

By the way barzini bought my moose costume and a one way ticket to Norway.

Yeah, way more mids actually on the original. Not very warm sounding to me. I actually like Gainfreak's clip better compared to that youtube clip which does have more definition as you say but kinda shrill/bright sounding compared to OP clip.

sounds close to me - especially for a "lunchtime" recording! I do hear a bit of eq difference, but Ralph said in the original post he'd add more highs. The thing is the "essence" of the tone - which probably comes from the "mystery effect" was the goal. I think the original is triple tracked maybe, sure seems like I hear one coming down the middle, as well as each side.

It nails the 'LeTekro' vibe spot on without a doubt, even if the tone isn't 110% identical to the original. It's close enough IMO!

It also depends on what version you listened to. The second youtube clip I posted is more like whats on the CD. With a bit more tweaking Im positive that I could get pretty close!! I also used the wrong speakers for that tone(I believe h30's were used on the original and I used greenbacks) and its close enough for me after listening to the original back to back with my recording with the EQ set like I mentiond!!

Let's not forget that there's mic's, mic pre's and god knows what other outboard gear involved in the recording. It's not realistic to have the two sound exactly alike. That said, Ralph is REALLY close. Like scary close.
