HIWATT SUPER HI 33 ???

I owned a Custom Super Hi 50 and while it was very cool, I ultimately let it go because it was just too hard to play. Very uncompressed and open; kind of like a Wizard. Pretty much the furthest you can get from "brown"/"greasy"/"squishy" in a high gain amp. Very difficult to play high gain leads on it without a compressor. Very punchy, though, and had a unique sound. I could see it being good for something that needs fast, tight tracking for rapid picking single line notes that you want to stay super clear and punchy under gain. Fun amp, just wasn't a keeper for me

I mean... it's intended for drop-tuned modern metal with 7 or 8 string guitars. And Hiwatt DR504s aren't "brown/greasy/squishy".
