I've always been a boost always on guy. For the first time, I think the boosts only color the tone and don't make it tighter necessarily. It is also possible my brain is migrating away from boost always on mode.

Another forum member ( @hellzington ) turned me on to the Zio by Source Audio. I don't personally know that forum member, but watch some of his YouTube content from time to time, which is worth a watch.

It's a great recommendation for Rectifiers. It can color the sound slightly, or reduce some of the lowend without completely altering the original tone of the amp. Highly recommend that pedal for a Rectifier or any other amp for that matter.
 
Glad you’re digging it man!

I know these aren’t for everyone, but it really is a great sounding amp to my ears. You can do a lot with the clean channel & a few pedals too, I know that’s not a selling point for this amp, but it’s an aspect I overlooked for a long time.
 
I have the 50 watt combo and love it. Sounds great with the built in Creamback, sitting on top of a Recto 2x12 with Vintage 30’s.

Oh yeah. His clips are great :yes:

Everyone was saying the Dirty Tree was the best boost for Recto's but it actually my least favorite at the moment. Thanks for the rec :cheers:

I didn't care the Dirty Tree either. Too filtered, cardboard-y sounding for my taste like the tonal richness was all sucked out. My favorites are Klon types with it. Also really liked the Fortin Tubescreamers with it and Peace Hill SSS, but that one is spendy lol, but absolutely smokes the Dirty Tree at its own game of being tight and attack-y while also having good tone. Kills my real vintage TC Pre there too that the Dirty Tree is based on
