to the OP....have you reached out to the moderators for some assistance? while the site is under no obligation for transactions, we used to intervene when i was a mod, kurt, kage and others too, to be a go between with both parties, especially when one flew the coop and wasn't talking to the other and things turned to rat shit. maybe PM the mods and see if they can at least get him talking and get your money back, and overcome the shame.

Ripped off the OP and bailed. I won't trade with anybody I don't know well. Too risky for scumbags like this not to do the right thing.
I hope somehow he clears his name. If not, he is and will get his. Allot of us are sending him some bad karma.
 
It doesnt matter how long hes been here or how many good transactions he has.

This is bullshit.

Out him, EVERYTHING including home address.

File a police report, so there is something, even if you never see a dime, dont encourage more of the same with inaction.

He also deserves a lifetime IP ban if possible.

Wven if je makes it right he no longer deserves to buy/trade with us.

I have had ZERO bad deals.

Only once did i send a pedal that was broken when it arrived, arranged a return AFTER sending full payment immediately.
 
I've had no dealings with 1meanplexi but I have bought , sold and traded on here and all my experiences were great I value the good guys on here ..I know there's 2 sides to every story but fail too see how you sell an amp under a trade deal that's already going sour..

I PM'd and e-mailed him about this earlier today. Nothing so far. Checked to see if he's using any alter egos to post but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The best way to trade with somebody that you don't know or trust is to just buy each others item for the agreed upon trade value through Paypal. That way your ass and his is covered. Paying the fee is worth the piece of mind.
 
This sucks. I've only be around for a couple of months here, but of course I look through the classified with interest on a regular basis. One of the unfortunate side-aspects of this is it always makes me more loath to do deals with people as I realize I don't know any of you all that well yet. It's too bad that bad eggs spoil it for everyone.

Yeah, I've never done it, but I think that's what I'd do. I assume that if I paid first, the other guy could just turn around and use those same funds to "pay" me, that way the guy can't complain that he doesn't have any money. And then if I don't end up with his gear, I can use PayPal to open a dispute and get my initial payment back but I'll still have his payment, so in the end I will have just sold my piece of gear and I won't have to care what the other guy is really up to.
 
Man, I hate to see this shit. I would file a claim with the police dept in his city. That is a significant amount of money to lose. Even if they just drop by his residence to question him, that might be enough to scare him into making things right with you.
