Looks like the Floyd models have a truss rod adjustment where the non-f;oyd you have to pull the neck

I don't mind pulling the neck to adjust the truss rod personally, since it's how the old ones were, but I can see how it would be a PITA for some. I have four USA ones, Unless I change the tuning or string gauge they all have been really stable. And I'm one of those picky bastards that can tell if there's much relief at all - first adjustment I do to any guitar once I've tuned it with my preferred strings is get the neck as straight as possible.

the new ones are supposed to be quartersawn so they should be very stable too

I absolutely hate it. I replaced the neck on my Promod with a custom one from Musikraft and had them place the truss rod adjustment at the headstock.

In the NAMM videos and pictures you can make out what looks like the cutout for the truss rod bullet. But if they have no adjustment, I will pass.

Just found a better pic, just the wood truss rod strip, no Pro Mod for me.

I suspect the Mexico manufactured ones will be as good as the Japanese. With CNC's and the right process, tooling and QA in place a guitar at this level isn't exactly that difficult to produce in this day and age, particularly by a company with the resources of Fender.

Shitty ...

You can tell that from the pictures?

I only look at the pic's ... :D
So you've never actually played one? :jerkit:
Who wants a Mexican Charvel ? i got one of the best Fender MIM Strats and can't stand it.

Blows me away that whenever they make or remake a great guitar the bottomline is always changing the cuntry of manfacture for profit instead of making great guitars.

Could care less where "charvel" is made this month.

it just seems like Fender is trying to see how low they can go production cost wise and still sell them.

Ah. I see no business degree in your future. ;)

well I went to Sam Ash near me (listed on Charvel's site as being a dealer) and not one Charvel guitar was to be found there, not even one of those Desolation ones

Hmm, not truss rod........need to tweak the neck on the Floyd rose guitar, okay, unlock strings take neck off, tweek truss rod, put neck back on, re tune floyd. Opps still needs tweaked, 2 hours later. Yea F in Fender stands for FAIL!!!! Come on, all high quality guitars have truss rod adjustments made today.......

Yea I know the original San Dimas guitars had the same truss rod setup, but they were fixed bridges, or fender bridges, which for all intended purposes are fixed. And just because they didn't have them doesn't mean they should still be that way.

1/4 saw or not wood moves with moisture and you can bet these guitars won't have the high grade wood. Oh well sorry Fender, will have to look elsewhere............

...yet the upcoming/new EVH striped guitars *do* have the truss rod wheel at the neck.

Not to be a whiny bitch, but where I live the climate and humidity change weekly, and I have to tweak the guitars I have frequently. That makes it almost impossible from a practical point of view with a Floyd guitar that you have to pull the neck off..............

Oh well no worries, :)

I hope you didn't read my comment as some slight against you, I have the same issue where climate changes regularly. I was just trying to point out how the EVH striped guitars have the truss rod wheel while the new Charvel Pro Mods don't. Coming from the same factory you'd think they would share more parts, production lines, etc. if Fender wanted to save some money. For me as well the non-truss wheel is a deal breaker.

Hate to break it to you guys but my Japanese So Cal requires the neck to come off to adjust the truss rod too.

Oh no, I didn't take your comments the wrong way at all, I was just making a general :) whiny statement
