I finally got an OCD pedal. How the hell have I never had one of these??

I was looking for a clean boost for my Orange Super Crush 100 and other amps and heard Orange even recommends this one. I really like the sound and it compliments my amp well. Adds a bit of chug and keeps that low end and tightens it up. It is great for the Orange.

Right now I have a touch of drive and level at like 1 o'clock. Any suggested settings as a boost? Seems like it sounds great across the board.

I've used it all the way from a touch of drive on the LP setting to almost full-on drive on HP. It's kinda hard to get a bad sound out of it. It's maybe not the most transparent drive I've had, but it's pretty close and seems to compliment just about everything. Take that with a grain of salt because I rarely use drives. When I do, though, the OCD is one of the first ones I try. Maxon 808, Decibelics Golden Horse, and Analogman KOT and POT are the others.

I hated the OCD. All I got was mud.

I don't have a 4x12 and a lot of my current amps don't have a lot of low end so I think it is a good match.

I can see how with some rigs it would probably be a bit much.

I particularly like the V1.3 boosting into a Tubescreamer in front of a Marshall set to AC/DC levels of gain. Brings the fucking thunder and will make you think your plugged into a Recto.

Lately I have been running a SD-1 into a Bad Monkey into the front of JCM800 type amps. Probably the most heavy I have gotten one of those amps to sound.

OCD is one of my favorites as well if you aren't trying to cut a lot of low-end anywhere from a boost to a drive. It reminds me a lot of the SD-1 without the low end cut.

bought my v1 2005. i was on a 8 week hype list at my local mom and pop
low serial number.
i bought it site unseen based on the owners hype with the agreement that i had 7 days to return it with no bullshit songs and dances.

i still use it but prefer either my mojo mojo or super badass distortion

Great pedal, but I feel it works best when something else is boosting it, rather than it boosting anything else. I had a badmonkey going into it and it was pretty sweet.

I like it. I'm usually not trying to cut low end so it works well for me. I have some TS flavored stuff as well but it mostly hangs in the shoe holder waiting for someone using the studio to request it.
