I finally got an OCD pedal. How the hell have I never had one of these??

I was looking for a clean boost for my Orange Super Crush 100 and other amps and heard Orange even recommends this one. I really like the sound and it compliments my amp well. Adds a bit of chug and keeps that low end and tightens it up. It is great for the Orange.

Right now I have a touch of drive and level at like 1 o'clock. Any suggested settings as a boost? Seems like it sounds great across the board.

I've used it all the way from a touch of drive on the LP setting to almost full-on drive on HP. It's kinda hard to get a bad sound out of it. It's maybe not the most transparent drive I've had, but it's pretty close and seems to compliment just about everything. Take that with a grain of salt because I rarely use drives. When I do, though, the OCD is one of the first ones I try. Maxon 808, Decibelics Golden Horse, and Analogman KOT and POT are the others.

What amps did you try it with? Just curious. Come to think of it, I usually use mine with an Orange Rocker 30 or lower gain Marshall-types.

Several. Marshall, Laney, Mesa, Peavey. It just never did it for me.

I had a v1 OCD. It was decent but I liked my TS style stuff better with my rig. I remember the insane hype that surrounded it's release, LOL.

It was just "okay", but didn't justify the cost. Didn't have it long.

give it a try at 18v. I’ve owned one for years and thought it was “eh” until I got a Zuma and tried it out at 18v and the HP setting.

I was running mine at 18v, FWIW

I particularly like the V1.3 boosting into a Tubescreamer in front of a Marshall set to AC/DC levels of gain. Brings the fucking thunder and will make you think your plugged into a Recto.

I don't have a 4x12 and a lot of my current amps don't have a lot of low end so I think it is a good match.

I can see how with some rigs it would probably be a bit much.
