Yeah, Rich has been using Splawn for quite awhile now. Who knows what he used here...there could be multiple amps :dunno:

Actually, for that album it was a modded Marshall. Splawn wasn't around in 98. If you go to his website, I believe that he says who modded the amp.

pretty sure it was a bradshaw modded jcm 800.... Heard he want to splawns a little bit after this album...

ya i heard that... but Im pretty sure It was a bradshaw mod, cant seem to find any info on it though.... :(

It was sold, not sure to who either. His other 800 is at splawn sitting on Scotts bench. Its also been modded but by John Suhr ( just an eq mod) and has a soldano hot mod in v2.

I had emailed Scott a month or so ago asking how to get as close to that tone from one of his amps. I didn't want channel switching so he pointed me towards the Pro Stock with 6550 tubes. He built one for Rich and those are the tubes he likes apparently. I hope to have it in the next couple of weeks

Good god... I know i know , stuck mojo... But fuck... Rich Wards tone .... Heard it as a bradshaw modded 800... Man id love to get down with that amp, anyone know where this amp is ?

 Rich's tone with mojo was as awesome as could be as well... or were you just saying you don't care for mojo? One of the greatest live bands of all time!

Yea the pro stock is what he's been using for more than a decade. My modded plexi was done by Scott and has 6550's in it and I like them better than I thought I would!

I don't care much for KT88 (usually) so I thought the 6550 was similar but apparently it has a more woody attack and more musical character to it.
I hope it gets finished soon, gonna be a fun amp to play for sure.
