Ordered Royer micros and expensive monitors using
the credit card of my wife spending 5000 Euros. When she was asking
for the reason I told her that we can now record the voice
of our 3 year old son Max.
As she is completely familiar with the music industry she
called me a complete idiot. I did a record with Maxis voice
and gave her the CD. That was the home run.

My office window is right at the front of the house, I can see/hear FedEx and UPS drive up. I usually wander outside when expecting the bigger parcels and put them in the garage...the missis finds out eventually but by then my new amp or guitar is part of the crowd.

the truth about wifey is:
She saw me watching lots of XTC videos and asked me if i liked the amp.
I said i loved it and remembered her it was the amp we once had the chance to demo at a store and she said, find one for a good price and i will pay for half of what i costs. So she did. She gave me half the money for this!!!!
On another note, i am prepared to go outside and wait for Fedex on the cold weather!

I've never married, and most of the time I stay single, so I can't grasp the issues being discussed here with the hiding of gear or purchases. GAS makes us do crazy shit sometime. When I was living with my dad and caring for him during his last years on this rock, I did kind of the same thing with my gun purchases.
