I guess I don't understand that price point because it was my understanding they are made on a factory line. Am I wrong about that? Is there someone hand sanding and carving a piece of wood to another and painting with special paint? Help me understand.

It's their Custom Shop Line. K stands for Kiso. All E-2s are Made in Japan Standards.

I thinking less Dentist and Tech Bro and more Mechanic and HVAC dude with disposable income.

It certainly isn't people who play music on the guitar in actual bands
Not a lot of 6K+ gutiars out there being played in working bands, but plenty of 3-6K guitars being played.

Part of this thread is just old people complaining about inflation, which is all well and good :D

Yes you bastard, i'm guilty...😂😂😂

I don't think I'd take my Les Paul Standard, Chubton, or Martin D28 put to gigs but the other ones I would.

I am sure Phil Collen from Def Leppard has $40,000 dollars worth of guitars backstage with the dojo and vegetable/whey blenders.

i expected much more of an assembly line, but what do i know?

Yeah it's not a huge deal, i'm just tellin ya

Them shit's is EXPENSIVE

Like, expensive as hell

The only reason I know is because 80s BCRs are one of my favorite guitars ever, and I will literally never be able to afford one lol
I have faith that you can get one brother. It may take time but if you put your mind to it, you can get there. Cheers!

I appreciate the vote of confidence but prices are only going up man :dunno:

Golden era mocks, biches, and warlocks are all in the "down payment for a house" price range now

Actual gold parts? Gary Holt's DNA in the battery cavity? Each guitar played at every show on a tour?

I can't imagine, even if a small Japanese man hand carved each guitar in a candle lit dojo and then each artist signed it and was hand delivered to each customer, why these are so damn much. I'm obviously out of touch.
They are definitely way overpriced. I wouldn't say that you are out of touch, I'd say ESP is out of touch.
