Ooh also... they make money by ripping off currency conversions. I just bought something overseas and had to pay in Euros. But Paypals conversion didn't match the market rate. It was much higher and I'm not surprised if they're skimming from that as well.

No doubt, as I've heard from clients telling me when they exchange Euros for USD it winds up being a lot higher than the regular exchange rate. My overseas clients freak out when I tell them it's a 4.2% surcharge, but that's what they take off the top before I get paid.

Earlier today a client ordered a pair of handles from Canada. Handles $50, Shipping via USPS $47, paypal fees brought the total to $101 USD.

Yes, you read that right, the shipping and paypal fees was more than what I sold the handles for. It's a racket.

I just checked on DHL for shipping vs USPS, too. They'll give you a rate higher than USPS Express Mail (not Priority Mail) if if you spend $1958 per month, or their discount becomes less. Between the tariffs, fees, import duties/customs and brokerage fees, it's positively financial rape.

What a world we live in where we can actually see fellow gear extremists across the nation photo and post clips of the gear see/hear it from a hand held device on the fly, trade ,sell to one another and yet that's not quite good enough  we gotsta argue and disagree about company's offering to instantly transfer the funds and complain about them making money to provide the funds. Maybe we should use the mail and send checks. Then when the check clears...etc... no thanks. I'm glad to have the ability and glad someone is willing to provide the service to make these instant funds available to keep the gas alive. I don't disagree with anyone not quite digging the whole dispute thing with PayPal as its a Fn pain in the ass!! Honestly this is a forum and should be some what of a brotherhood so that shit really shouldn't exist in here as we all dig this stuff or we wouldn't be here, most listing and trades should be on the up n up here. Random national postings such as sleezebay and Reverb is more random and should be a bigger risk. Hail Rigtalk!! I've found some good info and gear hear. Peace and chewy El34s to all
