If I take out the tone pot on an emg equipped guitar, does the tone of the guitar become as it would be with the tone pot on 0 ? Or is the circuit like if the tone pot is on 10 ? 5 ?
If you do it on a regular guitar (passive pickups), it'll sound like your tone is on 10, with a tad more punch and clarity. I guess it's the same with EMGs ?
All of my custom builds are that way. Emg81, volume, kill switch. I would imagine it's like the tone is maxed, because without the tone knobs potentiometer and cap, there is nothing else in the circuit.
