I was reading that the person who designed that recently left and went to work for Eminence.
IIRC they are responsible for both speakers in that video.
Cool concept for those in need.

Eminence actually made something similar but better back in the day called the Maverick and ReignMaker one was British style and the other American style but you could control the attenuation like a Master Volume.

Seemed cool but they don't make them anymore.

Those attenuating speakers Eminance put out didnt seem to make any waves...

I don't know how inefficient those speakers actually got and they were only easily adjustable if you had an opened back cab.
