Maybe some hate him but for me hate is a pretty strong term. It's hard for me to hate or even greatly dislike someone I've never met. I think most of people's negativity towards him is because of his at times over the top statements he makes about the AxeFX, some of his posts end up contradicting themselves when something that doesn't jive is pointed out, he at times acts like an opinion cop judging who's opinion is valid and what is opinion as if we are idiots and can't tell 90% of post on these forums are freakin opinions, and the near every time knee jerk reaction he has to anything remotely negative said about the Axe. He likes the Axe a lot, I get that, and that's fine but the above gets under a lot of people's skin.
I will say he will try and help people if they have questions about it where as a loud few in the AxeFX community aren't as courteous with their help or lack there of............ (cough) Jay.....(cough) Mitchell.

I think people can feel negative towards Scott because as mentioned, he is like the main mod over at TGP, and is very strict as far as how he mods and runs that forum, yet at the same time, can come across as a hypocrite when people don't share his opinion on things. Hence the negative image sometimes. I don't hang on TGP enough to get my panties in a wad. I personally am excited for the axe II. Have had the standard for a really long time, it has served me incredibly well, and actually don't really need to part with it, but since I do love the ease of direct recording, and kinda need to stay on top of all things, even if its only a small improvement, I may take the plunge sometime and get the newer model.

Ya, it is the ultimate tool, I have to admit it. But I can't ethically support a network of assholes. Now, if Cliff and Tom want to talk shop about the forum's complete and utter bizarre drone bee hive mentality, maybe I'll reconsider. But otherwise, what a bunch of pompous ponces. It's a shame cuz Cliff has been cool with me, as has Tom King. Scott OTOH, well, maybe he needs to get some play, and I don't mean with a guitar. WAY too serious for my tastes... ANYWAY.
