I think he came over here today because he wants to make a statement he is not the one deleting peoples posts, etc. Why else would he have posted.

For the record, I have not locked nor moved nor deleted one post at the Fractal Forum in the past week. There are other moderators folks. Get your facts straight about who is responsible for what before you turn on the flamethrowers.

sounds to me more like he's letting people know who has been doing it for the last week, BUT, at the same time, admits to doing it before that time.
Honestly I have no idea. It's just getting really out of hand and old news as well. Don't you agree? It really is making RT look like TGP. I come here because it is much better but with all of this drama lately, I don't know.

I could care less about the "Fractal" drama, I'm a fan, loved the Standard I had, looking for another or an Ultra, and have an AFII on order....

I'm just bitching about how the forums (TGP & FAS) are moderated. ;)

isnt the price hike kinda silly as 130 guys chose the wait list .lol
Obviously $400 to have the product in a week is not that desireable to most

Here comes Scott starting all this drama @ rig-talk, as if the other forums weren't enough

Now I see why people are mad at the moderators from those forums. Its this know it all attitude and lack of respect for people... filled with arrogance and insults.

I don't care for the Fractal forum, so I don't visit.

Having said that, Scott didn't START drama here; and I'm not sure how anyone could get that from this thread.

I don't blame him a bit for coming in here and speaking up; he gets bonus points for dropping an F bomb

Yes, I'm aware he couldn't do that on his own forum, that's why I love r-t :D

Although it's not like we're a bunch of grade school ponces who get off on 'swear words' and think it's all cool and stuff, I have to agree, was nice to see the guard let down, even if only for a brief moment

V.

Hey Scott's alright ..... being a moderator on a forum with as many members as TGP is more complex than a smaller one like this place. I wonder if I would handle it much different ?

I started this thread so people could see the new toys .... what a bunch of goofy drama ....

Was this post about Fractal and the Axe FX II or about TGP and Scott Peterson?

Some dudes need to all chill, get off the internet and actually play your instruments. It is beyond ridiculous that music communities online have gotten to this point, whether you're involved or not, whether you're the bad guy or good guy take a step back and think about what's really important in you music hobby or profession? I've seen stuff like this happen before and it really takes things out of context. Gear is gear, it won't make you successful

So let me see if I got this straight,

Announcement = botched
actual release = botched
holy fuck we can't keep up with this call our client base whiners = winning
release 6 units and undisclosed times of the day to really stir things up = brilliant marketing genius
holy fucking fuck we can't keep up with this = Jack Daniels
initiate a waiting list (at some point I swear there was a mention of no waiting list this time around) = genius
jack the price 400 = should have started here

When you step back and take a look at how this has gone down it's like the perfect model of how not to do business.

Resembles other business models popular in today's gear market......

I do not think I would have any clients if I tried that.

"I'm a moderator of one of the largest gear forums on the 'net that provides builders instant access to a large potential customer base complete with forum rules that shields builders by censoring out negative or critical comments, I have moderator status on the Fractal forum, I'm an insider who gets access to new product before coming to market, I'm one of the most prolific supporters and vocal proponents of the Axe-Fx in history, but I'm not a shill"...

Dear all,

I am quite new here and don't know the entire - long story, just wanted to say 2 things :

- As a foreign and new manufacturer for some stuff that is sometimes presented (for bad reasons, anyway...) as a competitor to the Fractal products, I have to say I had no problem with Scott Peterson on the TGP forums. I was really surprised about the good welcome on these forums, especially from people so closely involved in FAS marketing strategy.

- I am happy for this brand that so many people are urging to have the new version of the lead product, but can't understand the kind of hysterical behaviour of their customer. I can't figure out if this is good or bad (maybe a little pathetic). :dunno:

Well said. Now close this shit down!

At this point I think a good idea would be to offer a lease option for the next Axe fx X .

Why are people that clearly cannot stand Fractal supporting them by ordering their product?

I'm not. As of this week I'll have the cash for an AxeII, but all this drama over the unit, now the price hike plus waiting list bullshit, as well as their overall attitude just puts me off of spending money with them. I'm sure they're all great guys we'd all love to have a beer with in person, but $2200 is a lot of money to be spending with someone who comes off as a douche online. There is no guarantee they won't treat me the same way if I've got issues post-purchase.

I'm headed back to tubes. Not that I left.

People seem to forget that the Ultra price was raised $400 at one point as well. The it was followed by a sale, an actual sale, of like $1599 for a brief time.

The price hike is to discourage flippers who are just trying to turn a profit.
Those that say they won't buy one because of this or that were never gonna buy one in the first place. Those that will buy one will no matter how much they whine about it.

Thanks for the broad generalizations, but no, I was going to buy one, and now won't, because their behavior is not something I care to deal with.
